Sailing Certificates
To be able to govern watercraft or boats (motor boat or sailing ship) it is necessary to obtain an Official Certificate. Official Certificates are structured according to two criteria: the dimensions of the boat and the distance that we can away from the coast.
In Txonpe nautical we teach theory classes as well as practices that are approved for the following certificates:
Basic Navigation Certificate (GNP)
If you want to prepare to sail aboard small boats and initially do short trips without never losing sight of the coast, this degree may be the best choice for you.
Classes are composed of:

Theoretical program

Practical program: safety, navigation and manoeuvre to motor and sailing practices.
Allows you to: Government yachters of up to 8 meters in length if they are sailing and 7.5 meters if they are a motor with an engine power adequate to this length, always and when the boat is not away more than 5 miles in any direction, of an accessible beach.
Classes are organized in the Marina of Zumaia on schedules that fit your needs and taking into account the dates of the official exams calls.
Recreational Crafts Certificate (PER)
If you want to be a future Navigator and make a long coastal cruises of up to 12 miles or sail between islands in motor boats or sail in a 12 metres length ship, with aspirations to make a long coastal cruises and perhaps tomorrow making cruises of height navigation, this is the title you need.
Classes are composed of:

Practical program: safety, navigation and manoeuvre to motor and sailing practices.
Allows you to: Governance of motor or motor yachts and sail up to 12 meters length and engine power suitable for navigation in the area between the shoreline and the line drawn parallel to 12 miles as well as inter-island navigation in the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands.
Classes are organized in the Marina of Zumaia on schedules that fit your needs and taking into account the dates of the official exams calls.
After the GNP or PER, how can we continue learning?
It may happen that having obtained nautical certificates, you consider necessary to keep practicing to gain confidence in your ability to govern the craft.
Or, perhaps you are thinking on organizing holidays in the Mediterranean Sea and you need to gain knowledge on possible routes or develop different technical skills to face the challenge of sailing in a sea that differs from the Bay of Biscay...
